Hobby/Interest part 3
Classic car shows-
There are a lot of cars
which have been restored and made to be in shows. A classic card has to be
around 30-40 years old to be referred to as 'Classic'. Many people dream about
having an old car restored this however cost a lot of money.
The problem with old cars
is that their parts are hard to find and when you finally find they cost a lot.
Many people have to actually buy two cars of the same type and use one just for
parts by this they can build a car easier and it may come cheaper rather than
buying each part.
The cars are generally
striped down bare metal, fixed from any damages or rust, given a new spray then
get fixed piece by piece till it is in a full shape.
Only true car enthusiastic owners would buy an
old car and restore it from top to bottom since this takes a lot of time and
money to build but when it is finally built these cars can sell for thousands
of money.
In my opinion this is by far what I like to do most. I have recently bought a Volkswagen Golf MK1 and plan to fully restore it in the near future. It may cost me a lot of money but in the long run this will be worth the time and money.
